Kay Adams is a psychotherapist and registered journal therapist whose passion in life is teaching others the power of journal writing for self-directed change. She has written 14 books on writing as a tool for healing, growth, and change, including the best-selling Journal to the Self, Journal Therapy for Calming Anxiety, and (with Deborah Ross) Your Brain on Ink. Kay started her first 5-year diary at the age of 10 and has never stopped, although she no longer uses small books with four lines for each day.
